Editorial Consulting & Book Project Coaching
A preliminary conversation to discuss the project is advised via email and telephone (preferable), at no charge, up to 30 minutes. Deposits may be required to initiate work together. Payment by PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, or check, with monthly billings for long-term projects.
Read-Through & Assessment Synopsis/Report: Will read the work, and provide a written assessment, based on writer’s goals, etc.
Structure and Development of Collections, Chapbooks, etc.: Comments and recommendations to support overall development of a project, considering order, flow, reader impact, etc., to bring the project to fruition.
Line/Copy Edits: Will provide extensive comments & editorial suggestions for further development.
Proof-Reading: Proofing for typos, grammar, punctuation, and general formatting before submission to journals, agents, publishers.
Additional Consultation & Support: Recommendations for next steps, publishing opportunities, further development, and general cheerleading.
Revised and Ready: Preparing Poetry for Submission: An 8-week process to include sequential revision strategies and review, development, and final editorial recommendations to prepare five poems for submission to literary journals. Includes essay/lessons to support each week’s lens for considering edits, and a weekly phone/Zoom conference. Additional packages are available at an hourly rate.
I strive to keep fees reasonable, with most projects billed based on an hourly rate, excepting the assessment and synopsis, and the Revised and Ready initial package. Please contact me with questions and to discuss your needs.
